At Zaytun AI, we respect the rights of creators, artists, and businesses — and we expect our community to do the same.
We are committed to ensuring that content shared on our platform upholds the principles of respect, originality, and fairness, in accordance with Islamic values and international law.

By using Zaytun AI, you agree to follow this policy and our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, which strictly prohibit the posting, sharing, or promotion of content that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of others.

A. Copyright Protection

Copyright law protects original creative works — such as videos, music, images, art, and written material — giving creators control over how their works are used and shared.
Copyright does not cover general ideas, concepts, or facts, but rather the specific expression of those ideas.

B. Copyright Infringement and Reporting

Zaytun AI does not allow content that infringes on copyright. If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded or used on Zaytun AI without permission, you may submit a report to us.

Reporting Process

  • Please use our Copyright Infringement Report Form, available through our Support Center.
  • Include all required details, such as your contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, and the URL(s) of the infringing content.
  • Incomplete submissions may delay our ability to review and take action.

Once we receive a valid report, we will investigate and, if necessary, remove the infringing content. Repeated violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent account termination.

To ensure transparency, Zaytun AI may share limited details of your report — such as your name, email address, and claim summary — with the user who posted the content.

We encourage both parties to resolve disputes respectfully and directly whenever possible.

C. Fair Use and Exceptions

Zaytun AI respects the legal principle of fair use (or “fair dealing,” depending on your jurisdiction).
Under fair use, copyrighted works may sometimes be used for limited purposes such as:

  • Commentary, criticism, or review.
  • News reporting or education.
  • Parody or satire.

If a video or post qualifies as fair use, it may not constitute copyright infringement. However, such content must still comply with Zaytun AI’s Community Guidelines (e.g., no hate, harassment, or indecency).

D. Removal of Content and Account Actions

We will remove or restrict access to content that infringes intellectual property rights when we receive a valid notice.
Users who repeatedly violate copyright laws or this policy may face:

  • Suspension or permanent ban, and
  • Loss of monetization privileges or removal from Zaytun AI’s creator programs.

Zaytun AI reserves the right to deny services or disable accounts used for improper or illegal purposes.

E. Important Legal Notice for Rights Holders

Submitting false, misleading, or malicious copyright complaints is a serious matter and may result in legal liability for damages, including under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or similar laws globally.

If your report is incomplete or unclear, our team may reach out for clarification before processing it.

Zaytun AI is not a mediator between rights holders and users but will take all valid actions required by law.

F. EU Copyright and Regional Rights

Under the European Union Copyright Directive (EU 2019/790), you may:

  • Authorize Zaytun AI to distribute or use your copyrighted works.
  • Request that your works not be distributed within the EU.

To do so, please contact us using our Copyright Authorization or Restriction Form, and we will review your request promptly.

G. Counter-Notification (Copyright Appeals)

If you receive a copyright infringement notice and believe it is incorrect, or that you have the right to use the content, you can file a Counter-Notification.

Outside the EU:

  • Submit a Counter-Notification Form with all required details.
  • We may forward your response (including your contact information) to the original claimant.
  • If the claimant does not file a court action within the legally required period, and we determine your content does not infringe, we may reinstate the content at our discretion.

Within the EU:

  • You may submit a Counter-Notification explaining why your use falls under an exception such as:
    • Quotation, commentary, or review.
    • Parody, caricature, or pastiche.
  • Your use must credit the original creator, use only what’s necessary, and not unfairly harm the copyright holder’s rights.

All reinstated content must still follow Zaytun AI’s Community Guidelines.

H. Trademark Policy

1. What Is a Trademark

A trademark is a name, logo, symbol, slogan, or design identifying the source of a product or service.
It protects businesses and consumers from confusion in the marketplace.

2. Trademark Infringement

Trademark infringement occurs when someone uses a trademark (or a confusingly similar mark) without authorization, in a way that could mislead users about the origin or sponsorship of goods or services.

However, fair use of trademarks — such as for reviews, commentary, comparison, or education — is permitted, provided it does not imply endorsement or partnership.

3. Removal and Account Actions

If content on Zaytun AI misuses or falsely represents another’s trademark, it may be removed.
Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

4. Filing a Trademark Complaint

If you believe your trademark is being used improperly:

  • File a Trademark Infringement Notification via our online form.
  • Provide proof of ownership and evidence of the unauthorized use.
  • Missing or incomplete information may prevent us from reviewing your complaint.

We may share your contact information and claim details with the user whose content is reported, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

5. Counter-Notification (Trademark Appeals)

If you’ve received a trademark complaint that you believe is incorrect, submit a Trademark Counter-Notification Form with supporting documentation.
After review, Zaytun AI may restore your content unless the trademark owner initiates a court action.

I. Responsibilities and Best Practices for Users

  • You are solely responsible for the content you post.
  • Before using any third-party content (music, video clips, images, or brand materials), ensure you have the appropriate rights or licenses.
  • Avoid uploading others’ work without permission, even if edited or remixed.
  • Always give proper credit when using others’ creative works under fair use or open licenses.

If unsure whether your content may infringe another’s rights, we strongly recommend seeking independent legal advice before posting.
